Web8 jun. 2010 · The problem is that when rolling over thick or even slightly uneven ground the plastic cover can drag the ground and this will force the cover's flange to bind against the flange of the wheel. Once these flanges become in a "bound" state they tend to remain engaged and since the cover does not turn, the wheel does not turn as well. WebDrive cable needs adjusting. Loose drive belt. Worn gears on the axle. Worn out drive pulley. The transmission is weak. All of these problems could be causing your Honda self propelled lawnmower not to pull or push. Some have easy fixes, like adjustments; others require you to change out parts completely.

WebNo if the lawnmower is off it seems to role backwards fine. I can easily spin them backwards when off. It seems like when the lever for the self propelled is on it might stick and then loosen up. The self propelled function seems weak. I haven’t ever replaced the belt or adjusted anything. This lawnmower is a bit older. Web27 dec. 2024 · Install the new keys and reverse procedure to reassemble. The old keys are probably rounded off at the tabs on the ends. Check the gears as well, where the keys latch and make sure they aren't worn too far, which will allow the new keys to slip. Once you get the shaft back together, fit it back in place in the lower half of the tranny.
