You have to remove alot of material just to open the bowls up for stock sized valves.

If that info is wrong feel free to correct me. Anyway, I've ended up with a nice set that has had some decent port work done to them, and has 2.14/1.81 valves in them. I've never run a set of these on anything.

My reasoning is the hump helps with the bend in the port to provide a more laminar flow as the mixture enters the valve pocket, but I could be wrong. WebMay 22, 2024 · They advise you to match the intake manifold port outlets to their specific shaped head port inlets, which have 3/8" or 1/2" radius corners, BUT the gaskets all have 3/16-1/4" radius corners. You mess the head flow up if you grind the port corners out to match a gasket.
